Our innovative Zhaga DC photocell brings switching and dimming control of low-voltage lighting systems, powered by solar or alternative energy sources. The photocell incorporates our Eye Response filtered silicon light sensor and microprocessor control technology – a common feature across our photocell ranges. Designed for installation on a luminaire canopy, the ambient light detector faces up towards the open sky to deliver better switching accuracy.

Innovative Westire 12V to 48V Zhaga DC Photocell for Outdoor Lighting Controls

Designed for dusk-to-dawn switching of DC-powered luminaires and light fixtures, utilising Zhaga 4-pin, 5 A socket. This photocell reduces cost and energy use with optional part-night switch-off, by scheduling and implementing dimming regimes throughout the night for maximum battery endurance.

The innovative long-life DC photocell utilises the Zhaga 5-amp keyed Twist Lock Socket and Zhaga base configuration that is commonplace in outdoor lighting controls. It delivers accurate On/Off dusk to dawn switching, Part-Night switch off and streetlight dimming, which is critical when powering outdoor lighting utilising a solar power or a DC power source. Highly compatible and durable by design it incorporates a dome photocell cover built to withstand all types of outdoor conditions. This technology is packaged into the low-profile Zhaga Book 18 form factor.
