The RLD-3 dimming photocell has been designed utilising Westire’s decades of pioneering electrical engineering expertise to provide energy savings and efficiencies through retrofit.

The photocell upgrades your older LED luminaires, by leveraging the existing Dali bus to implement a dimming regime and schedule for greater control and flexibility, without needing to disturb the fixture or replace existing DALI drivers.

Utilising Westire’s Astroclock Algorithm combined with precision ambient light sensor technology with microprocessor control, the RLD-3 dimming photocell ensures accurate switching and dimming. This intelligent design delivers consistent dusk-to-dawn operation and maximises energy savings, to provide reliable long-term performance across varied outdoor conditions.

Employing Westire’s most advanced solar time clock control, smart street lighting is enabled with precise dimming – even for older DALI generation LED drivers.

The dimming photocell has been engineered in Ireland, EU, with a 15-year design life and is manufactured in-house using top-tier components. It is backed by a standard 6-year warranty with optional 10-year plans.

Combining IP68 sealing, IK09 impact protection and robust surge protection the RLD-3 is built to deliver durable smart streetlighting in the most demanding outdoor environments.
