The Fit & Forget® GPS controlled photocell integrates a colour-corrected silicon ambient light sensor with satellite-based synchronisation for the utmost accuracy when it comes to dusk-to-dawn switching and energy and carbon saving lighting control.

Our attention to the detail of the sky’s blue and red zones ensures negligible sensitivity to infrared and ultra-violet radiation. When this is combined with GPS precision our photocells deliver precise operations without manual recalibration all the while delivering consistent energy savings and reliable performance.

Accurate Automatic Dimming or Midnight Switch-Off Control

The control photocell uses GPS/GNSS satellite communications that enables very accurate part-night operation and dimming control of streetlights – the same time accuracy as experienced when using computer time. This means that the streetlight will switch off at precisely midnight if part-night is set. If it is set to dim, it will dim at the precise set dimming time.

The GPS controlled photocell, with its accurate automatic dimming or midnight switch-off control of outdoor lighting – such as streetlighting – serves to reduce energy consumption. Manual intervention is removed through the GPS controls of the photocell, which is beneficial for use in densely populated areas of lighting. Dimming can also be automated, with consideration made to seasonal changes and power outages.

Engineered in the EU, with a 15-year design life and backed by an 8-year warranty, the GPS/GNSS photocells are manufactured in-house to meet stringent ANSI and RoHS standards, ensuring long service life and trusted reliability in demanding outdoor environments.
