The Westire PoE Power Tap is a versatile 7-pin NEMA/ANSI solution that delivers reliable PoE directly from your streetlights ANSI/NEMA socket/receptacle to LoraWAN and other similar base stations, without interrupting the streetlight and photocell operation.

The PoE Power Tap is a self-contained module within the standard Westire Power Tap, requiring only one external component to provide a simple and cost-effective power source for a wide range of Powered Devices (PDs).

A single-channel Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) module, our PoE Power Tap has been designed to provide power to pre-enabled devices across a wide range of power levels, from 15.4W (IEEE 802.3af) up to 75W proprietary power levels. It is aimed at a wide range of applications requiring PSE functionality to deliver PoE power, directly from streetlights.

You can simplify power supply to additional transmitting devices by tapping into the existing ANSI/NEMA socket/receptacle infrastructure of streetlights with our PoE Power Tap. This leads fast and streamlined installations of town and city radio transmitter base stations and reduced cable clutter on our streets.

  • Simple to connect to a wide range of devices requiring PoE power and simple installation with 7-pin ANSI/NEMA socket.
  • Direct powering of a LoRaWAN or similar type base stations from your streetlight ANSI/NEMA sockets/receptacle.
  • Supplied with 1-metre standard RJ45 cable (other lengths available on request).
  • PoE enclosure designed to meet IP65 water and dust-tight rating.
  • Supplied with Cat.6a RJ45 fully shielded cable connector for outdoor base station powering.
